Run the week
Roster and leave
Build a Monday-starting week from recorded availability and approved leave. A draft is preparation; publishing is a separate human decision.
Record availability and leave
Staff open Roster, then My availability and leave. Use Add availability to save an available start and end, or Request leave to enter the dates and a reason. Managers can also use Record staff availability.
Availability must cover the whole shift. Adjacent availability windows can cover it together. In Leave, a manager or the owner selects Approve leave or Reject leave for another person's request. Pending leave is not an approved absence; decide requests before publishing.
Prepare the week
- Check the venue timezone shown in the app. The owner sets it in People before the first publication.
- In Prepare a week, choose Week starting Monday.
- Add the person, start, end, unpaid break minutes and optional label for each shift. Use Add another shift as needed.
- Select Prepare draft and inspect the week, shifts and any Draft conflicts.
Enter dates and times in the venue's local time. A shift must start within the selected venue week. Missing or ambiguous wall times during a daylight-saving change are refused; choose an unambiguous boundary.
Preparing the same week again replaces its current draft. It does not publish it or replace the published week yet.
Resolve conflicts and publish
Publication checks that every person is active, their availability covers the shift, they have no overlapping approved leave and their shifts do not overlap. Conflicting drafts can be reviewed, but cannot be published.
Correct the source of a conflict, prepare the week again if its shifts change, and review the current revision. In Weeks, select Publish this revision. If somebody has changed the draft since you loaded it, reload and review the new revision before publishing.
Publishing a replacement week supersedes the earlier published roster and its shifts. Staff see their own current published shifts.
Confirm your shifts
Staff open Roster, review their own published shifts, then select Confirm shift on each one. The card records confirmation. A draft does not ask staff to confirm; publish first.
