The Lanyard guide
Publish the roster, let staff clock on by phone, and export approved hours to payroll. These guides take you through the work in your own Lanyard installation.
Start with your team
- Getting started: run Lanyard, finish owner setup and invite your first people.
- Move in: bring staff details across with a reviewed CSV import.
Run the week
- Roster and leave: record availability, decide leave, publish a week and confirm shifts.
- Clock and timesheets: capture hours, review a timesheet and prepare a correction.
- Payroll exports: review the exact CSV, export approved hours and record acknowledgement.
Look after your installation
- Backup and restore: keep a private archive, restore it and remove access.
- Staff CSV reference: exact columns, import limits, journals and undo.
- Agent API: give an assistant preparation access while people retain decisions.
- Source and reuse: the foundation and open-source patterns used by Lanyard.
Lanyard exports hours to your existing payroll process. It does not calculate wages, interpret awards, submit STP or pay staff. Map its documented CSV to your payroll provider before using real data.
